Ty Cobb, Quote of the Day
Shortly before Ty Cobb died in the 1960s, a sportswriter asked the Hall of Famer what he thought he'd hit against the pitchers of the day. "About .320," said Cobb. "Is that all?" the sportswriter asked, "You're a .367 lifetime hitter."
"Yeah, well, you have to remember, I'm seventy-five years old," Cobb said.
